# warda-lists — THE file to edit to add, change or remove a list.
#
# Every block that starts with [[source]] is one list downloaded by the CI
# every day. The CI turns all of them into clean files, one per category
# (dist/<category>.txt), that every Warda box downloads.
#
# HOW TO ADD A LIST
# 1. Copy one of the examples below (the one with the same format).
# 2. Change name, group, url, licence, homepage and categories, and put
# the block under the header of its group (the file is sorted by
# group).
# 3. Push on develop. The CI checks the file; on main it builds the lists.
# Nothing else to do: no code to change.
#
# THE FIELDS
# name a short unique id: lower case, digits and "-" only
# (example: "hagezi-pro"). It is shown in the list headers.
# group where the list is filed, exactly one of these names (the
# list is kept in taxonomy.toml, [[source_group]]):
# "Hosts list" general hosts files mixing kinds
# "Abuse List" abusive or deceptive sites
# "Drugs List" drugs and alcohol
# "Fraud List" fake shops, payment fraud
# "Malware List" malware, command & control
# "Phishing List" credential and bank theft
# "Ransomware List" ransomware servers
# "Scam List" fake support, fake giveaways
# "Tracking & Telemetry List" trackers, analytics, telemetry
# "Redirect List" URL shorteners, redirectors
# "Gambling List" gambling and betting
# "Porn List" adult content
# "Suspicious Lists" new, parked, disposable domains
# "Advertising Lists" advertising (and ads + trackers)
# "Malicious Lists" feeds mixing several threats
# "Other Lists" everything else (bypass, piracy,
# social, UT1…)
# The group only files the list: "categories" (or the map)
# decides where its domains go.
# url where to download the list (https:// preferred).
# format how the list is written:
# "domains" one domain per line example.com
# "hosts" a hosts file 0.0.0.0 example.com
# "adblock" the DNS part of Adblock ||example.com^
# "ut1" the archive of the Université Toulouse
# Capitole (a .tar.gz with a folder per category,
# each with a "domains" file)
# The three first ones are read like Warda reads them: lines
# starting with # or ! are comments, "*.example.com" is
# example.com, "@@||example.com^" is an exception.
# licence the licence of the list, as its exact SPDX id. REQUIRED.
# Accepted: GPL-3.0-only, GPL-3.0-or-later, GPL-2.0-only,
# GPL-2.0-or-later, CC-BY-SA-4.0, CC-BY-SA-3.0, CC-BY-4.0,
# CC-BY-3.0, CC0-1.0, Unlicense, MIT, ISC, 0BSD,
# BSD-2-Clause, BSD-3-Clause, Apache-2.0 (their texts are in
# licenses/; the list itself is "licences" in
# taxonomy.toml). Anything else is refused: unknown or
# proprietary licences, NC (Warda has a paid offer), ND.
# Check the LICENSE file of the project: "GPL-3.0" alone is
# ambiguous, write GPL-3.0-only unless it says "or later".
# homepage the page of the project (it goes in LICENSES.md).
# author who makes the list (optional, used for the attribution).
# categories where its domains go: a list of ids of taxonomy.toml.
# "adult" a blocking category
# "type:blog" a site type (classification only)
# "except:gambling" the domains are REMOVED from that
# category (a list of exceptions)
# enabled false to keep a source in the file without using it
# (default: true).
# max_mb the biggest download accepted, in MB (default: 50).
#
# For "ut1" there is no "categories": a [source.map] table gives, for each
# folder of the archive you want, where its domains go (same values as
# categories). Folders not in the map are ignored (the build prints them).
#
# LICENCES: the licence of a source travels with its domains. A file that
# holds GPL data is published under the GPL; CC BY-SA data needs its
# attribution (done for you in dist/LICENSES.md). Some licences cannot be
# mixed in one file, and the build refuses them: GPL-2.0-only with GPL-3.0,
# CC BY-SA 4.0, CC BY 4.0 or Apache-2.0; CC BY-SA 3.0 or CC BY 3.0 with any
# GPL.
#
# A DOWNLOAD THAT FAILS FAILS THE WHOLE BUILD (nothing is published: the
# boxes keep the lists of the day before). If a source is gone for good,
# set enabled = false.

#
# BUDGETS: a category file may not hold more than max_domains names
# (taxonomy.toml: 1.5 million by default, 3.5 million for newdomains) and
# no file may pass 120 MiB: the lists live in the memory of the boxes, a
# Raspberry Pi among them. Prefer a few maintained lists to many big ones.
# Site types: see taxonomy.toml, [[type]] blocks.
# HaGeZi (GPL-3.0-only): https://github.com/hagezi/dns-blocklists, the

# UT1 (CC BY-SA 4.0): https://dsi.ut-capitole.fr/blacklists/.
#
# The other publishers: the licence of each one was read in its repository
# on 2026-10-02 (the comment above each block says where), and each address
# was checked with a real download. The lists asked for and NOT added
# (non-commercial or unknown licence, dead or frozen list, wrong fit for

# PENDING.md, with what would unlock each one.
